These figures are based on archeological fragments from 3500 to
30,000BC. The original fragments were made of bone or stone, were small
enough to be carried in the hand and are now thought to have been objects
of worship. Current scholars recognize that female figures were worshipped
until about 3500BC.
The fragments upon which the
sculptures are based date from 3500 to 30,000 BC. The original
fragments were made of bone or stone, were small enough to be carried in
the hand and are now thought to have been objects of worship.
The figures are exaggerated in
size compared to the originals. Therefore, when placed in an
outdoor setting the viewer can walk amongst them in contemplation.

Starcevo, modeled
after the "Lady of Se" from Lengyel, features prominent breasts
which were prevalent on relics from the 5th millennia. The head is small,
the waist tapered and the hips large. Welded from 3/8 inch steel, Starcevo
stands 4 feet tall.
